The latest and safest generation gyroplanes in Hungary
Welcome to the website of XENON HungaryWhen visiting our website you will right away see and come to like this wonderful small aircraft equipped with a glass-cockpit similarly to luxury cars. Gyroplane is the ‘Phoenix’ of modern aviation, with its multiple applications, low operation costs and extraordinary aviation features, and to crown it all – it is evidently the safest aircraft in the world. The gyro does not want to be neither an aeroplane nor a helicopter ‘substitute’. However, there are more and more ‘airfields’ of life where the gyro can prove its extraordinary ‘abilities’ and its unique aviation features both in business and hobby flying. The great designers of sport and hobby flying (Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, etc.) want more and more people in the world to learn flying. Now, we, offer the same to you but in a much safer way. With Xenon our aim and mission is to make possible for more and more people to taste the ‘love potion’ of flying and to experience the freedom of flight, a magic feeling incomparable to anything else. In Western Europe and our neighbour countries there are already more and more ‘wasps’ buzzing in the sky. Thanks to our continuously spreading participation and demonstration in media and advertisements all over the country you will soon notice and recognize our orange instructor gyroplane (OM-M 980) on ground or in the air. And if you happen to take a fancy to the participation in an international pilot course or to purchase a gyro you are already Welcome to the Xenon Club.Xenon 2 bemutató a TotalcaronThere are no translations available. A Totalcar újságírói elfogadták meghívásunkat és kipróbálták a Xenon 2 autogirót. Az elkészült video itt látható, a tejes cikk a Totalcar oldalán olvasható el. A 2010.novemberi AERO magazinban a következő szösszenet jelent meg Szabó Gyuri tollából kifolyólag:Xenon 2 The Trainer Gyro When in spring 2008 I wrote about Xenon I would not have thought that some years later – already less „green” - I will totally change my mind. At that time I found it a bit “bearlike”… The main reason for that was that it was Andi Siebenhofer who led “bear dancing”, and the comparison was made to MTO sport that is a mongoose as compared with a bear. I have flown nimbler and nimbler rotor wings since that time, and this ability has lost much of its significance. The active/passive safety, the reliability and the hardwearing feature have come to front. And nowadays it seems more important that an aircraft can offer you the possibility of getting accustomed to it, learning it and developing. It is without doubt that if you want to stress your identity a mad sport gyro would better suit you. This is the way it works with us, children forever. There is no trouble until we are just dreaming. But if our dream happens to come true, and we wonderfully can afford us to lift in the air, let us say, in a UL autogyro then it is advisable and fortunate to consider the criteria of choosing which are bound not to let you sort of avoid the Xenon. Here we are now at the essence of my long chain of ideas: Flying starts and finishes with learning. Also in the sense, that when lifting in a superior area of spirit we can learn the most essential of ourselves. Now comes the point: One has to learn also flying. It seems quite evident, does not it. Still it should be written down because nowadays the kindly customer is more and more inclined that if he buys something for his money he has bought together with the merchandise also the potential of experience and adventure, with guarantee. Here is the trick of the swindlers. They make the impression and create the mood as if they purchased the knowledge and ability with the stuff. For nearly two years I have been swinging the backs of the gyros in front of the Hungarian pilot society, in a broader sense, people interested in flying but only in a way like a fashion model does on the runway: without any special sense of responsibility. But the time has come slowly to begin to take the question seriously. Namely, sooner or later there will be serious enquirers, and after the crises, probably there will come the serious persons different from pirates. When the solvent demand appears, and there is already a lot at stake for exhibitionism, the conditions of pilot training and operating should be already available. All without these the UL autogyro will remain only a mirage. Zsolt Méhész together with his team offers you the turnkey solution for this key position question. The mean of this solution is Xenon 2. The crucial point here again, as always, is: human. On this point Zsolt has decided quite as well as when he chose this gyro for training. He has entrusted training to instructors quite different in character, they are both well-acknowledged experts: János Depinyi at his age of 62 after his 30 years and 16 thousand hours of career at MALÉV, and he has been continuously also an UL instructor for 40 years, he is the typical “senior pilot”, the counter-pole of “courageous pilot” The other instructor is József Tóth (Totya) who is unnecessary to introduce in circles neither of motor gliders, agricultural or UL aircrafts. According to our knowledge there are already two valid autogyro instructor licences approved by the Hungarian CAA in our country. They are the owners of these licences. And who is Zsolt Méhész? He is the accredited service engineer and dealer to the manufacturer of Xenon. Moreover he is also a great dreamer, believing in wonders... The training is done in the following way: 1. You have to join SFUL (Audited Slovak UL Association, with authority competence). 2. You absolve the autogyro training in the Gyro School seated in Nove Zamky/Slovak Republic. The basic training consists of 30 hours, converting training takes 7.5 hours. The training is done by János Depinyi and József Tóth, they are also official instructors in the Slovak Gyro School of Nove Zamky. Hungarian students are trained starting from Esztergom in a Slovak private airfield not far from the Hungarian border, in a nice environment. 3. You have to take the exam. (At the time our magazine comes out, one of our fellow country-man has probably absolved the training by his exam.) 4. Result: a gyro licence for sport and hobby, with validity in whole Europe. Is it difficult? You would not think so. The main focus is on HIGH QUALITY TRAINING the conditions for which are already all given: organization, instruction material, instructors, aircraft, and at last but not at least friendly supporting and empathic reception. Xenon 2 is definitely fit for training and pleasure-flying, it is a peaceful, friendly and easy-to-handle aircraft which can give you healthy self-confidence. Due to its rotor of 8.6 m diameter it shows very nice flying features even with its “merely” 100 HP Rotax engine. Not only during taking off and landing but also in the air, Xenon 2 “excuses” to you for almost everything. It can stand the roughness of the airfield in Esztergom just as atmospheric turbulences. I can tell it from my own experience. I have been convinced also about its hard-wearing feature, here I mention the inaccurate landing carried out by me myself, and I can also refer to my experience in Banja Luka when Xenon 2 produced a whole-day operation demonstration with constant ups and downs carrying passengers interested, in a weather keeping mothers-in-law and dogs in the house. Thus, if someone wants to choose an UL autogyro for himself, and he decides according to arguments of reason and not of passion, I would suggest him to try Xenon. The questions of operation, service and registration are also solved. At present in Slovakia... An expert authority built upon the most up-to-date EU-comfort principles will receive also the guests there. Zsolt together with his friends have already found and trodden the path which is now easy to go on. They will show you the way and lead you on it with pleasure... After all these the question rightly arises: what is the point in it for me to advertise Zsolt Méhész and his enthusiastic team? It is simple: I have got no solution for training and registration, further I cannot offer any legal solution for the operation in Hungary. They, however, have got it. They can do it. What would be the point in it if I tempted the people showing interest in gyro if I am not in a position to guarantee for them to make use of the possibilities of this fantastic aircraft in legally permitted way? The first and most important aspect is that people, who are seriously interested in this issue, should be trained for gyro flying from such experts as János Depinyi and József Tóth. Then, after acquiring the knowledge required they can take their time to decide on the purchase. Then they will be able to make a good decision.
